Datta Jayanti, also known as Dattatreya Jayanti, is a Hindu holy day, commemorating the birth day celebration of the Hindu god Dattatreya (Datta), a combined form of the Hindu male divine trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. It is celebrated on the full moon day of the Margashirsha month according to the Hindu Calendar (December/January)
Datta Jayanti falls on Saturday, the 22nd December 2018. There will be Datta Abhishekam and Datta Puja from 10.00 am onwards. The day being Purnima, Shri Satyanarayan Katha will be followed by after Datta Puja, followed by Madhyan Aarati and Mahaprasad.
